I’ve never shown a print matted and framed before, but liked how this one looked mocked up here in situ with space around the print and a white frame. It helps evoke the fresh feeling of the ocean.

I’ve been exploring soft hanging as a new way of showing my work. Not confined by the boundaries of a panel or frame, the paper is free to fully express its tactile  and sculptural characteristics.

Clean washi paper has a presence all its own. The pleated paper is wrapped over a printed horizon line. What does the pleating evoke for you ?

Both of these works are conceived around capturing weather events in motion. There’s a subtle iridescent glow emanating from the surface of the print and a translucency in the glaze of the vessel that really speak to each other. 

Cloud Topogra
I began this series by printing frayed textile fragments in stark black and white onto Japanese kozo paper. The unraveling fibers seemed to echo the natural horizon lines around my Northern California home and I came to consider these landscape works

The ability to float (buoyancy) is created from pressure. For these prints, I have compressed the textile vertically with the arashi shibori method and flattened it through the intense pressure of the printing press in order to create a feeling of li
